General Information

The Homeschool Mom – a website devoted to helping you with all things homeschooling! Covers the different styles of homeschooling, state laws, planners, curriculum reviews, and more.
Families for Home Education – Missouri’s largest homeschool organization. This site has helpful information regarding materials, support groups, local events, and more.
Teen Resources including Rosen Databases - Teen health and wellness, Digital & Financial literacy, award winning resources.

Curriculum Resources


Missouri Virtual Academy – This is an online, statewide public school program. It may be helpful for high-school age students as it includes Career Field learning options in Business, Health and Human Services, and Information Technology (IT).
Time 4 Learning – A low-cost Missouri homeschooling curriculum source. Search for curriculum by grade or subject.
Moving Beyond the Page – “Homeschool curriculum for creative, hands-on, and gifted learners.” Curriculum is literature-based.
Build Your Library – Charlotte Mason-inspired secular, literature-based curriculum.
Ambleside Online – This site has lists of books and free reading to go along with Charlotte Mason curriculums.
DIY Homeschooler – free unit studies, activity ideas, book lists, how-to, printables and more!
Living Montessori Now – using Montessori principles and methods in your learning
Oak Meadow – print-based, customizable curriculum. “Oak Meadow provides a flexible, progressive education for independent learners in kindergarten to grade 12.” – from their About page
Missouri Department of Conservation - This is MDC's Teacher Portal which includes science resources and curriculum.  Enroll in the program as a homeschooler for access to content.  There is instruction for children of all ages.
​Annuity.org – How to teach kids about Money – It’s never too early to begin teaching your kids about money. 
Annuity.org – Students & Financial Literacy – Continuing education is one of the most important investments you will ever make. By managing how you pay for school and what you spend money on, you can worry less about debt and more about your career after graduation.

Homeschool Groups & Co-ops

Classical Conversations – This group has meetings in Columbia and Moberly. “The purpose of Classical Conversations® is to lead the home-centered education movement by teaching parents and students the classical tools of learning so that they can discover God’s created order and beauty— and as a result— enable others to do the same.” – from their About page
Mid-Missouri Christian Homeschool Cooperative – based in Moberly, MO, meets once a week. Great for electives. Note: 21/22 school year registration is happening NOW (Summer 2021.)
Missouri Odyssey of the Mind – “a creative problem-solving program that gives kids the opportunity to work as a team to design, develop, and implement solutions to their chosen problem.”

Virtual Field Trips

Padlet – Pick a spot on the map and go! Contains approximately 100 places to visit across the globe.
JFK Moonshot – an interactive look at the moon & the Apollo 11 mission!
Google Arts & Culture – a large collection of online museums and exhibits.
Smithsonian Learning Lab – digital images, recordings, texts, and videos covering the sciences, history, and arts & culture.
Museum of Early Trades and Crafts – games, activities, recipes, & more!
Online Physical Education Network (OPEN) – all kinds of activities, videos and curriculum to help make your home an Active Home!

Centralia Public Library has over 90 Launchpads available for checkout!  These unique, pre-loaded tablets are educational and fun.  There are a variety of subjects & learning for every age level.  Come check them out!
