Dear Patrons, I know that it's been awhile since we've had a book discussion and we at the library want to solve that problem.  As you know, we have started up a new book club here at the library.  The name of our club is the GenRe (Generation of Readers) Book Club.  We want to make a new beginning in this community of encouraging readers and would like you to be a part of this. Let me give you a little information about the book club.  We will be meeting on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.  The book discussions will be every third month (next one will be June 25th).  On the days that we don't have a discussion, we will talk about books we've read and maybe talk about plans for the book club and what we'd like to do in the future.  What I would like to encourage is for us to plan a year in advance so that we can take advantage of the program that Mid-Continent Library in Independence provides to book clubs (they will loan out any books on their list for book discussions).  The Adult Services dept. at Mid-Continent Library says that if we give them a list of books that we would like to discuss, they will make sure that they are available when we need them.
